Maths Academic Mentor – Bexley – Fixed Term Contract – September Start

As their Maths Academic Mentor, you will be supporting pupils who are facing difficulties making progress in Maths, and work with them to overcome their barriers to learning and improve academic progress.

This Maths Academic Mentor role will be a broad and varied post where you will specifically support in all areas of their impressive Maths department and be mentored by their inspirational Head of Maths.

As their Maths Academic Mentor, you will get to work across various Maths lessons, run small group interventions focussing on bridging the gap in attainment with their low-ability learners and those with SEN, plus some 1to1 assistance to those who need it most. You will work with children from all different backgrounds and abilities and get to observe some exceptional teaching practices whilst developing your own.

This successful, modern and well-run school is situated in the heart of Bexley, they are well placed with London overground stations in walking distance.

The school wish to have someone in place for September, therefore please only apply for this post if you are immediately available or have no more than 1 weeks’ notice period. It is being offered on a rare direct school contract, which is fixed term until August 2025, paying a salary of between £21000 – £22,000
