This is a warm and welcoming environment, catering for students aged 14-25 with severe sensory, physical, and medical needs.
Key Details of the SEN School Teaching Assistant Role:
- Job Title: SEN School Teaching Assistant
- Location: Croydon
- Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 4:00pm (35 hours per week / 7-hour days)
- Term Time Only: Optional Saturday work available
- Pay Rate:
- £13.26 per hour (Gross)
- £14.68 uplifted umbrella rate
- Salary offered with a permanent contract
- Contract Type: Temp to Perm (Permanent by September 2025, possibly sooner)

Your Role as an SEN School Teaching Assistant:
- Matched with a suitable class for the full academic year
- Provide personal care including manual handling (essential)
- Additional desirable skills/experience:
- Hoisting
- PEG feeding
- Tracheostomy care
- Oral suction
- Makaton or British Sign Language (BSL)

About the Successful SEN School Teaching Assistant:
- Experience in a similar setting such as an SEN school, children’s home, residential care, or as a support worker
- Manual handling experience is essential
