Our Outstanding Ofsted-rated secondary school is seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Graduates to work as Teaching Assistants and join their support department across KS3-KS5 for September 2024.

Graduate Teaching Assistant Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide support to teachers in delivering high-quality science and maths support
  • Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of learners
  • Engage in practical’s to foster student inquiry
  • Assist in the planning and preparation of lessons and learning materials.
  • Work with individual students or small groups to reinforce learning concepts.
  • Help manage classroom behaviour and create a positive learning environment.
  • Support students with varying abilities to ensure they achieve their full potential.
  • Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the development of the curriculum.

Requirements for the Graduate Teaching Assistant:

  • A degree in Mathematics, Science, English, Psychology, Humanities or a related field, with a minimum of 2:1.
  • A strong passion for education
  • Ideally, an aspiring teacher with a commitment to professional development.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Experience working with secondary school students is desirable but not essential.
