A secondary school in Enfield is seeking a Cover Supervisor to join their team. This role is ideal for an experienced Cover Supervisor or a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) with experience covering lessons. The successful candidate must have a degree and be confident in managing a classroom, ensuring students stay engaged, and maintaining behaviour expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, ensuring students remain on task.
• Manage classroom behaviour effectively, following the school’s policies.
• Deliver pre-planned lessons in the absence of the class teacher.
• Support students with SEND needs, adapting lessons where necessary.
• Provide feedback to teachers on student progress and behaviour.

Candidate Requirements:

• Degree-qualified – essential.
• Proven experience as a Cover Supervisor, HLTA, or in a similar role covering lessons.
• Aspiring Qualified Teacher.
• Strong classroom management skills and the ability to engage students effectively.
• A good understanding of SEND and experience supporting students with additional needs.
• Sound knowledge of the KS3 and KS4 curriculum across multiple subjects.
• Confidence, flexibility, and a proactive approach to working in a school environment.
• Must be local to Enfield or within a reasonable commute.
