Role Description – Primary Teacher – Year 1
Our partner school is looking for a creative, passionate and driven Primary Teacher to join them from September 2024 in Hillingdon, West London. Both ECTs and Qualified Teachers encouraged to apply!
Joining this team will mean joining a school with a new Headteacher also commencing from September 2024, who has worked within the trust for many years already. With plans to continue developing the school culture, ethos and success, the new head brings fresh ideas, excitement and energy to the role this year and is looking forward to supporting staff on this journey with her.

Teaching Year 1, you will have a partner teaching to support with planning and work with to ensure your year group is learning to their highest capabilities. You will be responsible for:
- teaching all subjects across the primary curriculum, including Phonics
- developing lesson plans (with your form group partner teacher)
- marking/assessment
- upholding behaviour policy throughout the school
- maintaining positive communication with colleagues, students, and parents
- being a contributing member of the school community
- a Class of 27-30 pupils of varying abilities
- both KS1 classes have a dedicated Teaching Assistant in class and 1:1 Learning Support Assistants to support their SEND pupils
Qualifications
- PGCE Teaching Qualifications and/or QTS
- Experience in creating and implementing curriculum development for
- Excellent communication skills with colleagues, students, and parents
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Experience in working with diverse populations is a plus
- Interest in and knowledge of current educational practices and trends
