Are you an English Graduate or a Graduate with a natural flair and passion for English, who would enjoy helping secondary students improve their English/Literacy skills?

Situated in a secondary school environment, this English Teaching Assistant role will be a broad and varied post where you will specifically support in all areas of their impressive English department and be mentored by their inspirational Head of English who has supported many Grads in to gaining their QTS over the years.

As their English Teaching Assistant, you will get to work across various English lessons, run small group interventions focussing on bridging the gap in attainment with their low ability learners and those with SEN, plus some 121 assistance to those who need it most. You will work with children from all different backgrounds and abilities and get to observe some exceptional teaching practice.

This successful, modern and well-run school is situated in the heart of Hackney, they are well placed with London overground stations in walking distance.

This English Teaching Assistant role is being offered on a long-term basis and will interview and start WC 2nd September, therefore you must be immediately available or have a notice period less than 1 week.  Your starting rate of pay will be between £100 – £110 dependent on your skillset and experience.
