We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed individual to join our client as a Pastoral Support Assistant. A background working with young people of youth work is highly desirable, alongside an understanding of the barriers that can impact their progress, is essential.

As their Pastoral Support Assistant, you will work with each student, giving them a feeling of increased self-esteem through individualised support programmes. You will be able to identify obstacles to personal progress and help pupils overcome these.

Pastoral Support Officer:

  • Term time only (39 weeks a year)
  • 15am – 4.15pm
  • Temp to Perm (once 2 terms have been completed) with the actual salary of £24,486
  • Start off between £110 – £115, then rise to £125 after 12 working weeks
  • Ofsted: Good with Outstanding features school

  • Situated in Wandsworth with Northern and Southern line links close by
  • Well run school housed in a modern building – supportive SLT
  • Work as part of a multidisciplinary team with parent/carer liaison
  • As their Pastoral Support Officer, this crucial role provides personalised support and intervention to their students who have learning and behavioural needs
  • Responsibility for managing their Internal Exclusion Unit
  • ESSENTIAL: Background in Youth Work or experience with managing those with behavioural issues and/or mentoring
  • Interviews to be held WC 3rd June – September 2024 start date
