Year 2 Teaching Assistant |Near Shoreditch| Hackney| Starting weekly wage £475|ASAP start

Job title: Year 2 Teaching Assistant / Graduate Teaching Assistant

Age range: 6 – 7-year-olds

Location: Near Shoreditch, Hackney, East London

School:Primary School rated ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted

Salary: Earn £475 per week with a further increase after 12 working weeks

Job type: Full-Time until July 2024 Starting date: ASAP (Notice periods of more than a week cannot be accepted)

Qualifications: Degree holder with an interest in teaching or building a child or education related career

The Opportunity: Year 2 Teaching Assistant

  • A wonderful primary school based near the vibrant Shoreditch area of Hackney, East London
  • Full-time role (Monday to Friday), term time only until July 2024.
  • Work with an experienced and respected teacher who will mentor you.
  • Support the whole class, small groups and on a 121 basis.
  • Perfect for aspiring teachers and psychologists alike – develop your practical understanding of how children learn.
  • Support their Year 2 class that come from a diverse range of backgrounds including those with SEN/EAL/SEMH and behaviour.
  • Northern, London Overground and Great Eastern lines within walking distance.

The successful Year 2 Teaching Assistant must:

  • Be confident and adaptable with lots of enthusiasm to match the children you support.
  • Be confident in core areas of the curriculum such as Literacy and Numeracy.
  • Be a degree holder.
  • Be able to work effectively as part of a large team.
  • Have strong communication skills.
  • Be able to inspire and motivate children in the classroom
  • Be able to deliver well-structured lessons for small groups/1:1 sessions
