Our Ofsted rated ‘OUTSTANDING’ partner school is looking for a passionate and driven Graduate to join their team as a Teaching Assistant. This position is due to commence immediately, and initial interviews are set to be held on-site with the SENDCO.

Maths Teaching Role Description:

The school is seeking a Secondary Teaching Assistant to support within the SEND department, both as a general classroom teaching assistant and to support a student 1:1 with GCSE Maths. Candidates must be flexible and proactive in their approaches. This is a Mainstream Secondary School, thus extensive SEND experience is not required.

Qualifications/Ideal Candidate for Maths Teaching Role

Maths GCSE (B grade or Higher)

Ideal candidate will have a Maths Graduate Degree or strong Maths A levels

Experience tutoring is favourable but not required

SEND experience with Dyslexia, ADHD, Dyspraxia is favourable

Excellent communication skills with colleagues, students, and parents

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment

Experience in working with diverse populations is a plus

Interest in and knowledge of current educational practices and trends

Right to work in the UK – no current or future sponsorship offered

Excellent command of English
