Job Description

WhoFoundWho are supporting a Special Educational Needs School located in Brent, which is seeking a Autism Teaching Assistant to join their team immediately. If you have a recent Psychology Degree, or similar, and would like to explore an Autism Teaching Assistant role, then keep on reading as we have roles for you!

The School Is Looking for Applicants Who:

  • Have experience working with young people with SEND (Autism, SEMH, PMLD etc.)
  • Have experience with PECS, Makaton or experience working with people who are non-verbal
  • Is energetic, confident, and proactive.
  • Can relate to the students and build and good rapport whilst maintaining clear boundaries.
  • Can work effectively and independently on a 1-1 basis and use initiative, as well as follow instructions given by a manager.
  • Has a good understanding of safeguarding.
  • Has experience in any of the following roles: Behaviour Mentor, SEN TA, Youth Worker, Outreach Prison Officer, Mental Health Support Worker, Psychology/Criminology Graduate.
  • Have Right to Work In the UK (full time)
