FULL DESCRIPTION

CNC Multi-Axis Machinist

[Employer hidden — view at passion-project.co.uk] is seeking a skilled CNC Multi-Axis Machinist to join their team. The role involves setting and operating CNC machines, programming, and working on complex components with strict adherence to GD&T. The ideal candidate will have experience with multi-axis machining centers and the ability to read technical drawings.

Responsibilities: –

  • Includes all aspects of CNC Multi-Axis Machining.
  • Programming, setting and operating our Mazak Integrex’s and/or Okuma Multas’s B300 Machining Centres.
  • Working on highly complex components with a strict GD&T adherence and being compliance to technical documentation.
  • Use of measuring equipment to check components.
  • Maintaining quality and safety standards ensuring programs and tooling are stored in their correct locations.

Requirements: –

  • Experience as a CNC setter/operator/programmer.
  • Previous experience on multi axis machining centres.
  • The ability to read complex technical drawings with GD&T’s.
  • Aerospace industry experience would be an advantage.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment where general helpfulness and flexibility are essential attributes for this role.
  • A passion for engineering and the appreciation and commitment to achieve our client’s requirements is essential.

Full time hours are 39 hours per week Monday to Thursday 7.30am to 4.00pm (1/2-hour lunch break) and Friday 7.30am to 2.30pm (No lunch break).

Overtime during the week and on Saturday’s are paid at time and a half. A competitive hourly rate of pay will be paid based upon experience, holiday entitlement is currently 23 days per annum, in addition you will be entitled to the English public/bank holidays.

You will automatically be enrolled into the company pension scheme which is subject to normal conditions regarding new employees.
