CNC Grinder

[Employer hidden — view at passion-project.co.uk] is seeking a highly skilled CNC Grinder to join their team. Responsibilities include CNC grinding, programming, setting, and operating Studer machines, using measuring equipment, and working with complex components. Requirements include experience in high-end CNC grinding, the ability to read technical drawings, and good organizational skills.

Responsibilities: –

  • Includes all aspects of CNC Grinding, programming, setting and operating. Our CNC Grinding Machines are Studer’s and T&G are prepared to train an experience CNC Grinder to use all the Studer grinding machines.
  • Use of measuring equipment to check components.
  • Produce programmes on the machine as and when new products arrive.
  • Working on highly complex components with a strict GD&T adherence and being compliance to technical documentation.
  • Maintaining quality and safety standards ensuring programs and tooling are stored in their correct locations.

Requirements: –

  • Experience in high end CNC grinding is essential.
  • The ability to read complex technical drawings with GD&T’s.
  • The ability to work on the following machines: CNC Studer Cell has 3 Studer’s S21, S31 & S40 all with C Axis. A brand new S31/1000 Studer Cylindrical Grinder with C Axis.
  • Good Organisational skills.
  • A passion for engineering and the appreciation and commitment to achieve our client’s requirements is essential.

Full time hours are 39 hours per week Monday to Thursday 7.30am to 4.00pm (1/2-hour lunch break) and Friday 7.30am to 2.30pm (No lunch break). Night shift: Monday to Thursday 8.00pm to 6.00am with overtime from 6.00pm to 8.00pm.

Overtime during the week and on Saturday’s are paid at time and a half. A competitive hourly rate of pay will be paid based upon experience, holiday entitlement is currently 23 days per annum, in addition you will be entitled to the English public/bank holidays.

You will automatically be enrolled into the company pension scheme which is subject to normal conditions regarding new employees.
