[Employer hidden — view at passion-project.co.uk] is seeking a skilled Toolmaker to join their team. The role involves all aspects of Toolmaking, including manual milling, turning, and grinding, with a focus on complex components and strict adherence to GD&T. The ideal candidate will have experience with manual machines, the ability to read technical drawings, and a passion for engineering.
Responsibilities: –
- Includes all aspects of Toolmaking: Manual Milling, Turning, Cylindrical, Rotary and Surface Grinding.
- Use of measuring equipment to check components.
- Working on highly complex components with a strict GD&T adherence and being compliance to technical documentation.
- Maintaining quality and safety standards and ensuring tooling is stored in their correct locations.
Requirements: –
- An experienced Toolmaker with previous experience on manual machines.
- The ability to read complex technical drawings with GD&T’s.
- Good Organisational skills.
- A passion for engineering and the appreciation and commitment to achieve our client’s requirements is essential.
Full time hours are 39 hours per week Monday to Thursday 7.30am to 4.00pm (1/2-hour lunch break) and Friday 7.30am to 2.30pm (No lunch break).
Overtime during the week and on Saturday’s are paid at time and a half. A competitive hourly rate of pay will be paid based upon experience, holiday entitlement is currently 23 days per annum, in addition you will be entitled to the English public/bank holidays.
You will automatically be enrolled into the company pension scheme which is subject to normal conditions regarding new employees.
