FULL DESCRIPTION

[Employer hidden — view at passion-project.co.uk] is looking for an experienced client-facing engineer to help support our customers in a fast-paced, 24 / 7, global digital asset trading ecosystem. This individual will play a key role in ongoing client success and the overall health of our trading systems.

Responsibilities

  • Own real-time support of live trading systems for clients and internal teams.
  • Troubleshoot production issues across order flow, market data, and exchange connectivity.
  • Diagnose FIX and API integrations (REST/WebSocket) using logs and protocol analysis.
  • Operate in Linux environments to investigate and resolve incidents.
  • Partner with engineering to identify root cause and drive permanent fixes.
  • Build lightweight scripts/tools to improve monitoring and operational efficiency.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years supporting trading systems in capital markets or digital assets.
  • Strong understanding of order lifecycle, execution workflows, and market data.
  • Experience with FIX and API-based integrations; capable of debugging session/message issues.
  • Proficient in Linux environments and log analysis.
  • Experience with distributed/cloud-based production systems.
  • Working knowledge of Python or Bash for troubleshooting and automation.
  • Structured problem-solver with strong communication skills under pressure.
  • STEM degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • Institutional or digital asset trading system experience preferred.
  • Comfortable leveraging AI tools to enhance productivity.
