FULL DESCRIPTION

Opportunity for Design Engineer to perhaps move into a design role with more bespoke design and perhaps away from  role where they are afforded sizable design changes plus be given more Project ownership.   Opportunity to move away from the traditional crushing/ screening sector into something new.

Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

Design and develop bespoke  products including vehicles, lifts, and related metal components

  • Produce high-quality 3D models, technical drawings, cut lists and documentation
  • Carry out structural and stress calculations, tolerance assessments, and select materials
  • Prepare technical documentation including design reports and specifications
  • Liaise with production teams to support manufacturing and resolve design issues
  • Drive improvements to existing designs and support continuous development

Applicants to have   –

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or similar)
  • Minimum of 5-7  years’ experience in mechanical design within a metal fabrication environment
  • Strong CAD skills – ideally SolidWorks and AutoCAD

Desirable:

  • Experience with vehicle design, screeners, crushers, or trailers
  • Knowledge of type approval, hydraulics and electrics
