M&E Infrastructure Manager

£60-70k ~ £70k Belfast – Antrim

Mechanical & Electrical Infrastructure Manager  – Belfast

Unique opportunity for an Engineering Manager to transfer their Engineering and  leadership expertise into a very exciting period of growth in one of Belfast iconic organizations.

The Role:

  • You will continually improve Mechanical & Electrical infrastructure, ensuring all assets across the business are maintained and enhanced, in line with management policies and KPI’s.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide team leadership and management of the Mechanical & Electrical Infrastructure team
  • Continuously develop and improve the asset management, maintenance, and supply chain (parts & services) capabilities of the team in line with wider asset management policy utilising data and team expertise to drive decision making.
  • Embed a mind-set of continuous improvement and customer service throughout the team.
  • Continually enhance team capabilities, work equipment and working patterns to meet internal and external customer needs or to improve efficiency of service delivery.
  • Develop KPI’s for the team, ensuring that these are delivered in line with business objectives.
  • Maintain good working relationships with stakeholders, including internal and external customers, tenants, service providers, agents, suppliers and industry/ community representatives and fellow employees.
  • Ensure ongoing development of supplier base and strategic use of stock holding to improve service responsiveness.
  • Lead procurement and tender activities and support the wider Infrastructure & Engineering team procurement projects as required.
  • Along with team members, provide engineering expertise into energy management and decarbonisation projects and programmes
  • Embrace new ideas & concepts and such as digital transformation to improve effectiveness or efficiency of the team.
  • Ensure ongoing training and development plans are in place for all team members.

Criteria:

  • 3rd level qualified from a mechanical & electrical maintenance background.
  • 5-8 years’ experience as a Manager in a technical role
  • Demonstrated Safety leadership through training & experience
  • Ability to think strategically – balance short and longer terms needs as appropriate.
  • Experience in leading, building, training and developing high performance teams.
  • Experience in developing and managing complex budgets.
  • Strong background of lean/CI culture
