FULL DESCRIPTION
The Letting Agent will be responsible for managing and leasing a portfolio of properties on behalf of our clients. You will work closely with both property owners and tenants to ensure a seamless leasing process, from property listing to move-in.
Responsibilities
- Create and publish effective property listings with high-quality photographs.
- Promote available properties through various advertising channels such as online listings, social media, and local newspapers.
- Screen potential tenants by conducting background checks, verifying rental history, employment status, and financial stability.
- Arrange and conduct property viewings, answering prospective tenant inquiries and highlighting property features.
- Collect rent payments on behalf of property owners, and enforce late payment penalties when necessary.
- Draft, review, and execute lease agreements, outlining terms and conditions such as rent amounts, security deposits, and maintenance responsibilities.
- Conduct periodic property inspections to assess conditions and ensure lease compliance.
- Keep up-to-date with relevant housing laws and regulations.
- Initiate and oversee eviction proceedings for tenants who violate lease terms or fail to pay rent.
- Handle emergency situations like property damage, security breaches, or tenant emergencies efficiently.
Qualifications
- A related qualification is an advantage but not necessary.
- Good standard of spoken English.
- Excellent social and communication skills.
- Drafting skills.
- Commercial awareness.
Experience
- At least 6 months of experience in a similar business environment.
