FULL DESCRIPTION
Join our team as a Cloud Engineer and play a key role in building a predictive and prescriptive analytics SaaS product that’s transforming the UK automotive retail industry. This is a hybrid role based in London, combining remote work flexibility with in-person collaboration.
What You’ll Do
- Design & Deploy Scalable Systems: Architect and implement scalable, cloud-based workloads on AWS to support data-intensive applications and high-volume analytics pipelines.
- Build Data-Centric SaaS Products: Work closely with software engineers and data teams to develop our analytics platform – from ETL/ELT data pipelines and data warehouses to interactive dashboards and predictive analytics services.
- Ensure Reliability & Security: Monitor and improve the reliability, security, and performance of our production cloud infrastructure. Automate deployments and use Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, CDK, etc.) to maintain consistent and repeatable environments.
- Collaborate & Innovate: Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Data Scientists, ML Engineers, Product Managers) to rapidly prototype, deploy, and scale new features. Bring fresh ideas to optimize costs, performance, and scalability in a cloud-native, microservices and serverless architecture.
Who You Are
- Experienced Cloud Engineer: Approximately 5 years of hands-on experience in cloud engineering or software development, with a focus on AWS. You’ve built or maintained B2B SaaS products, especially those involving large-scale data or analytics components.
- AWS Proficiency: Strong knowledge of core AWS services (e.g., EC2/Lambda for compute, ECS/EKS for containers, S3 for storage, Glue for ETL, Redshift for data warehousing, IAM for security). Ability to design secure, scalable architectures using these services.
- Infrastructure-as-Code Guru: Experience using IaC tools like Terraform, AWS CDK or CloudFormation to automate cloud deployments. Familiar with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices for cloud deployments.
- Versatile Developer: Proven software engineering skills – you write clean, maintainable code and are comfortable working with languages and frameworks relevant to cloud and data (Python, etc.). You follow best practices for testing, code review, and documentation.
- Data & Analytics Mindset: Familiarity with data engineering concepts (ETL/ELT, data lakes/warehouses, streaming data) and building analytics or BI platforms. You enjoy designing systems that efficiently handle and derive insights from large data sets.
- Problem Solver & Team Player: Excellent problem-solving abilities, with an innovative mindset to tackle complex technical challenges. You thrive in a collaborative environment, communicate clearly, and are eager to learn new technologies and share knowledge.
What We Offer
- Industry Leadership: Be part of a company with deep domain expertise in the UK automotive sector. You’ll work on innovative projects at the intersection of predictive analytics and digital engagement, shaping the future of how businesses connect with their customers.
- Impact & Growth: A dynamic, collaborative work environment where your ideas are valued and can lead to immediate impact. You’ll have the opportunity to grow your expertise, take on new challenges, and advance your career as our company continues to expand.
- Flexible Work Environment: Enjoy a hybrid work schedule – combine the energy and collaboration of our London office with the flexibility of remote work. We believe in work-life balance and adaptability.
- Competitive Compensation: A competitive salary and benefits package that rewards your experience and contributions. You’ll be joining a forward-thinking team that celebrates success and nurtures talent.
