FULL DESCRIPTION

Third in Charge

A nursery in Binfield, Bracknell are looking for a Third in Charge to join their team! Hours: Monday-Friday, 9:00am-3:45pm (Term-Time Only) Salary: £15 per hour (£19,300 per annum, pro rata) Key Responsibilities: * Support children’s learning and development in line with the EYFS. * Set up and pack away the nursery daily (includes some heavy lifting). * Act as Key Person: complete observations, learning journeys, and parent consultations. * Assist with children’s personal care routines. * Build positive relationships with parents and maintain confidentiality. * Promote British Values and uphold safeguarding and Health & Safety standards. * Support the team with planning, assessments, displays, and daily routines. * Oversee and guide staff observations to ensure EYFS consistency. * Complete admin tasks such as accident forms, registers, SEN documentation, and daily diaries. * Help organise events including Stay & Plays, outings, and seasonal activities. * Step in to support the Manager/Deputy when required.

Requirements:

* Level 3 Childcare qualification or above * Previous supervisory/management experience (Room Leader+) * Strong EYFS and safeguarding knowledge * Confident communication and leadership skills * Positive, caring, and professional attitude * Ability to work well within a small team
