FULL DESCRIPTION

Room Manager in E15

Lead and manage the day-to-day running of the room. Support, supervise, and mentor room staff, including apprentices and students. Deliver high-quality early years education in line with the EYFS framework. Ensure the room is clean, safe, and well-resourced at all times. Build and maintain positive relationships with parents/carers. Ensure safeguarding procedures are followed at all times.

- Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Team Management

Lead and manage the day-to-day running of the room.

Support, supervise, and mentor room staff, including apprentices and students.

Plan and delegate responsibilities to ensure smooth operation of the room.

Carry out regular staff observations and supervisions, reporting concerns to senior management.

Childcare & Curriculum

Deliver high-quality early years education in line with the EYFS framework.

Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote learning and development.

Observe, assess, and record children's progress and use this to inform planning.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date records for each child, including learning journals and assessments.

Health & Safety

Ensure the room is clean, safe, and well-resourced at all times.

Conduct daily risk assessments and adhere to health and safety policies.

Administer first aid and medication as required, following procedures.

Parent Partnership

Build and maintain positive relationships with parents/carers.

Communicate regularly with families about their child’s development and well-being.

Participate in parents’ evenings, meetings, and nursery events.

Safeguarding & Compliance

Ensure safeguarding procedures are followed at all times.

Be aware of and adhere to all nursery policies and procedures.

Report any concerns regarding children, staff, or the environment promptly to the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL).
