We are seeking a dedicated Early Years Practitioner to join a small, supportive nursery team. This is an exciting position with opportunity for growth into a Deputy Manager role. The ideal candidate will deliver a high standard of care and learning for children aged 0–2.5 years, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment.

Location: 118 Stonegrove, Edgware, HA8 8AB

Days & Hours: Tuesday – Thursday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM (possible 9:00 AM start)

Start Date: Mid-May 2025

Salary: £12.50 – £13.00 per hour (dependent on experience)

Role Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated Early Years Practitioner to join a small, supportive nursery team. This is an exciting position with opportunity for growth into a Deputy Manager role. The ideal candidate will deliver a high standard of care and learning for children aged 0–2.5 years, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Implement play-based EYFS curriculum and support individual child development

Maintain safety and well-being for children and staff at all times

Be a key person for assigned children, maintaining accurate records and learning journals

Liaise with parents/carers to share progress and encourage involvement

Support nursery operations and undertake tasks delegated by the Deputy Manager or Room Manager

Requirements:

NVQ Level 3 in Children and Young People’s Workforce (Level 2 considered if willing to study Level 3)

Experience working with babies under 2 years

Excellent communication skills with children and parents

Food Hygiene, Paediatric First Aid, and Safeguarding (can be arranged upon starting)

Ability to supply 2 references
