Room Leader Role in SE16!

- Room Leader – Bermondsey SE16

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Room Leader to join our small, family-run nursery in Bermondsey. Established for over 10 years, our warm, community-focused setting offers a close-knit and supportive team. You will lead one large room for children aged 2–5 years, overseeing high-quality practice and supporting up to 20 children. This role is perfect for someone with strong leadership skills and a passion for early years development.

What we need from you:

• Full and relevant Level 3 childcare qualification (Level 4/5 desirable but not essential)
• Minimum 2 years of experience in an early years setting
• Previous experience leading or supporting a room
• Strong knowledge of the EYFS and safeguarding requirements
• Confident communication, organisational, and leadership skills
• A passion for creating a nurturing and stimulating learning environment

Your duties will include:

• Leading the daily running of the 2–5s room
• Planning and overseeing high-quality activities in line with the EYFS
• Supporting, guiding, and mentoring room staff
• Ensuring high standards of care, safety, and wellbeing
• Building strong relationships with children, families, and colleagues
• Monitoring and recording children’s progress
• Maintaining an engaging, safe, and well-organised learning space
