Full-Time Nanny Needed near Okehampton

Job Description

- A loving family are seeking a dedicated full-time nanny to care for their 7 month old daughter. This is a permanent position offering 37.5 hours per week, worked on a rota basis agreed in advance.

About the Role

You will provide nurturing care and support for a young baby, helping her thrive through play, routine, and developmental activities. While the hours are mainly weekdays, flexibility is essential. Occasionally, the rota may include overnight care or, by prior agreement, weekend hours. Overnight duties involve sleeping in the same room as the baby to assist with her sleep routine. As her sleep improves, overnight responsibilities will reduce and eventually cease.

Both parents work from home and also own horses. They may occasionally travel for work, so reliability and adaptability are key.

Candidate Requirements

- Proven experience caring for babies and supporting early development

- Paediatric first aid qualification

- Confident driver, able to take the baby to local groups and activities

- Professional, discreet, and respectful of the family’s privacy

- Comfortable around animals

- Flexible and dependable, with a proactive approach

- Start date: Immediate, though the family are willing to wait for the right candidate

- Salary: £15–£16 gross per hour, depending on experience

- Contract: Permanent, full-time, 37.5 hours per week
