FULL DESCRIPTION

An opportunity to join a successful construction business as a Groundworker, conducting general site duties, operating machinery and plant and assisting with the efficient and effective delivery of allocated projects.

DETAILS

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide support to Site Manager plus colleagues wherever and whenever necessary
  • Participate fully in training and development activities whether they be for remedial or development purposes
  • Abide by the H&S policies and procedures and report potential risks as soon as they are identified
  • Ensure all environmental legislation is followed
  • Minimise environmental impact wherever possible
  • Maintain the efficient running of onsite equipment and small plants (pumps, generators etc.)
  • Maintain the cost-effective working condition of machinery, plant and equipment daily that you are trained and competent to use
  • Storage and handling of materials and resources
  • Ensure correct Tickets are obtained and up-to-date
  • Recommend cost-effective alternatives to materials, processes and resources
  • Ensure the highest standards of security are maintained to minimise loss and vandalism
  • Report any damages or defect as soon as identified

QUALIFICATIONS AND TRAINING

  • CSCS Green Card - ESSENTIAL
  • CPCS Red Card – DESIRABLE or willing to work towards
  • 1 day first aid – ESSENTIAL or willing to undertake training
  • Water Awareness – ESSENTIAL or willing to undertake training
  • Plant & Vehicle Marshaller – ESSENTIAL or willing to undertake training
  • EUSR Cat 1 & 2 – ESSENTIAL or willing to undertake training
