Salary: Teaching Assistant: Grade E - £25,992 pro rata / Midday Supervisory Assistant: Grade B - £23,656 pro rata

Hours of work: Teaching Assistant: 8:45 - 12:15 & 13:10 - 15:15 / MDSA: a 30 minute duty between 12:15 and 13:10

A bit about us: Manor Fields is an over-subscribed school with a very positive reputation in the community. We are a single-intake mainstream primary school with a Complex Needs Resource Base. We want to appoint a well-qualified, enthusiastic person who is able to skilfully combine the roles of Teaching Assistant and Midday Meals Supervisor. In our vibrant, thriving school, you will become part of a friendly and motivated team working in a caring, successful environment.

All about the roles: The successful candidate could work in either the mainstream or the Resource Base, dependent upon their skills and ambitions, and they will:

  • have a good level of written and spoken English and Mathematics. GCSE A - C /Grade 9 - 4 or equivalent in English and Math. Lower grades may be considered with relevant skills and experience in the field of SEND, Education or Care
  • have basic IT skills, and ideally, prior experience of this role
  • be able to undertake tasks under direction
  • relate to children in a positive and supportive manner
  • maintain confidentiality inside and outside the workplace
  • have good verbal and written communication skills
  • work collaboratively with other staff and professionals
  • have an understanding of Health and Safety and Child Protection
  • be kind, calm and resilient
  • be committed to equality
