As Assistant Reservations Manager , you’ll support the Reservations Manager in leading the reservations and host team, ensuring every guest receives a warm, seamless and memorable experience. This is a hands-on role at the heart of the restaurant — combining people leadership, guest hosting and operational organisation. You’ll spend plenty of time on the floor welcoming guests, managing the flow of service and supporting the team, not sitting behind a desk.
What You’ll Do
- Support the Reservations Manager in the day-to-day running of the reservations and host function
- Help lead and motivate the host and reservations team during service
- Manage bookings, walk-ins and waiting lists to keep service flowing smoothly
- Welcome guests, oversee seating plans and support cloakroom and arrivals
- Communicate clearly with managers, floor teams and the kitchen to ensure seamless service
- Step in to resolve guest queries and feedback with confidence and care
- Deputise for the Reservations Manager when required
Who You Are
- Experienced in reservations, hosting or front-of-house leadership in a quality restaurant
- Naturally welcoming, organised and confident with guests
- Calm under pressure and great at juggling multiple priorities
- A supportive team player who enjoys developing others
- Passionate about hospitality and creating brilliant guest experiences
