As Assistant Reservations Manager , you’ll support the Reservations Manager in leading the reservations and host team, ensuring every guest receives a warm, seamless and memorable experience. This is a hands-on role at the heart of the restaurant — combining people leadership, guest hosting and operational organisation. You’ll spend plenty of time on the floor welcoming guests, managing the flow of service and supporting the team, not sitting behind a desk.

What You’ll Do

  • Support the Reservations Manager in the day-to-day running of the reservations and host function
  • Help lead and motivate the host and reservations team during service
  • Manage bookings, walk-ins and waiting lists to keep service flowing smoothly
  • Welcome guests, oversee seating plans and support cloakroom and arrivals
  • Communicate clearly with managers, floor teams and the kitchen to ensure seamless service
  • Step in to resolve guest queries and feedback with confidence and care
  • Deputise for the Reservations Manager when required

  • Experienced in reservations, hosting or front-of-house leadership in a quality restaurant
  • Naturally welcoming, organised and confident with guests
