HR Advisor (Army Reserve) - Bristol

Are you people-focused, organised, and ready to make an impact? Do you want to develop your HR skills while serving your country part-time? 39 Signal Regiment, part of the Royal Signals, is recruiting HR Advisors in the Army Reserve to support our soldiers and leaders across the regiment. As an HR Advisor, you'll be a trusted enabler at the heart of Army life-supporting personnel administration, pay, welfare, and career management. You'll help units run smoothly by delivering accurate, timely support that empowers commanders and looks after our people. This is a unique opportunity to combine your civilian HR expertise with military training, gaining qualifications and leadership experience that will strengthen your career.

What you'll do:

  • Provide HR advice on pay, leave, service records, and career progression.
  • Deliver personnel administration during routine activity, exercises, and deployments.
  • Support welfare cases with sensitivity, confidentiality, and professionalism.
  • Use MOD HR systems and produce clear, actionable reports for decision-makers.
  • Train alongside soldiers and officers, building leadership and resilience.

Who we're looking for:

  • Organised, personable team players with strong communication skills.
  • HR or admin experience is valuable (CIPD or similar a bonus, not essential).

  • UK residents aged 18-50, available to serve part-time (typically 27 days per year).
