The role involves providing support, physical and emotional well-being, and social needs of residents. Responsibilities include assisting with personal care, maintaining records, and promoting residents' independence. Full-time or part-time roles are available with a competitive salary, training, and career development support.

Responsibilities

  • Taking responsibility for the support, physical and emotional well being and social needs of our residents
  • Assisting and providing support for residents with personal care activities such as washing, personal hygiene, dressing and assisting with meals
  • Checking residents regularly through the shift, to make sure they are safe and reassured
  • Helping to maintain accurate records, using our easy to use iPod based care system, and undertaking ongoing training
  • Generally promoting our residents’ independence, choice, dignity and respect by delivering the very best standards of care.
  • Enjoying activities and outings with residents

What you’ll need

  • Ideally, some experience in a Care and an NVQ in Care, although this is not as essential as a strong commitment to developing a career in this field
  • To have empathy and a caring nature
  • Wishing to treat an individual as you would like to be treated yourself
  • Good communicator
  • Conscientious, hard working and reliable
  • Able to work alone and as part of a close knit team
  • Available on alternating weekends for one weekend day
  • Full training will be given to the right candidate, even with no previous experience
