FULL DESCRIPTION

The Transportation Officer will provide transport for members/participants to events/workshops, coordinate all trips, be punctual, and maintain vehicle safety. The role requires a valid driver’s license, experience with mini buses, and an understanding of the needs of seniors.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provides transport for members/participants to events/workshops
  • Coordinate all trips through the Project Manager.
  • Be punctual and dependable in picking up the clients at the scheduled time.
  • Keep the Project Manager informed regarding your availability
  • Provide Project Manager with as much notice as possible when cancelling a trip
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding client information.
  • Regular vehicle maintenance to ensure safety of clients - seat belts must be available.
  • Provide annual updates on vehicle insurance policy and registration.
  • Immediately report incidences, accidents or concerns to the Project Manager.
  • Inform the Project Manager of any changes in address or phone number.
  • Becomes familiar with WAD programme and policies and procedures

Qualifications required

  • Valid driver’s license and safe driving record with a maximum of 3 penalty points.
  • Has experience of driving 14 seater mini bus
  • Is reliable and time efficient
  • Understand the limitations experienced by some seniors, such as mobility and hearing/vision loss.
