The role involves commissioning, writing, and editing content, with a focus on business and entrepreneurship. The ideal candidate will have experience in digital media, SEO, and men’s lifestyle, with strong editorial judgment and communication skills.

Over the last ten years, [Employer hidden] has built one of the most premium and influential men’s luxury audiences in the world. Today, [Employer hidden] is the premier lifestyle media publication, content agency and influencer brand for the modern gentleman — ‘a curated handbook of the finer things in the world’.
Over the next year we will continue to grow significantly digitally and we are looking for an ambitious Editor to manage both a small in-house editorial team as well as a group of talented freelancers globally.
They will work closely with the Editor-In-Chief and the team in implementing the content strategy across all our major channels — web, social and newsletters — and will include commissioning, writing and editing content.
We would also like this person to have a strong interest in Business and Entrepreneurship. This is a key content pillar of the [Employer hidden] and an area in which we are wanting to grow significantly in 2024. This includes business news, company profiles and entrepreneur interviews.
The dedicated Digital Editor will understand the vision of the brand, elevate the digital and social output, and support further cross-channel growth. With 750K unique users visiting our website a month and a combined social following of 1+ million, this is an exciting opportunity for an Editor to play a key role in a digitally ambitious and growing brand.
Please note that whilst this role well includes some writing, this is mainly an Editor role. We are looking for someone to help curate and edit.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Leading Editorial, Social and Web to drive traffic and follower growth with the ultimate aim to convert audience to paying members.
- Working closely with other relevant teams within the business (Social, Design, Web and Marketing) to maximise quick growth.
- Lead on all SEO strategies.
- Lead on weekly, monthly and quarterly editorial meetings.
- Be the ‘playmaker’ in the business when it comes to linking content across digital platforms.
- Commission and edit digital content on all platforms (including the website, social and newsletter), from features to regular series, to film and photography.
- Assist on email / newsletter strategies (single sends + automation) with the ability to execute.
- Work with contributors to commission and produce content, promoting a digital-first mindset.
- Maintain the [Employer hidden] tone of voice, ensuring all digital content is aligned with the brand.
- Cultivate and maintain [Employer hidden] digital communities, with engaging social content and strong community management skills.
- Work closely with the Marketing and Digital teams to hit KPIs, in line with the broader editorial and commercial strategies.
- Stay on top of digital trends, providing feedback to the wider team on new innovations where relevant.
- Support where necessary with commercial projects and paid partnerships, meetings and social gatherings.
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
- 3+ years experience in a digital media business
- Ability to provide examples of outstanding published news and feature articles.
- An expert understanding of SEO with the ability to execute growth tactics.
- A passion for, and understanding of men’s lifestyle, business and entrepreneurship.
- Impeccable editorial judgement and written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience using photo and video editing tools (e.g. Indesign, Photoshop).
- Ability to work swiftly and to deadlines.
- Must have a vibrant and unique voice. Must be confident, collaborative, and communicative with a desire to thrive in a fast-paced media environment.
- Knowledge of social and digital analytics and reporting tools (e.g. Google Analytics).
- A strong understanding of different CMSs with the ability to execute.
- A strong understanding of email and CRMs (e.g. Klaviyo) with experience of leading strategies and executing newsletters.
- Experience with paid social media is desirable but not essential.
