FULL DESCRIPTION

Parts Warehouse Operative

Control and maintain the Spare Parts Warehouse. Responsibilities include receipt of inbound parts, correct placement to stock locations, timely pick/pack/despatch of orders, and processing of parts returns (unused/warranty). Take responsibility for stock control and the general daily running of the warehouse facility, with occasional support to Parts and Customer Support departments. Communicate with service teams to meet repair timelines and arrange any required parts collections.

Main tasks / responsibilities

  • Control of warehouse operations.
  • Receipt of inbound goods – unloading from road transport.
  • Inspection of goods and inbound processing via SAP; place to stock location and assist with stock order generation.
  • Maintenance of stock – ensure rotation and condition.
  • Stock checking as requested.
  • Coordination and delivery of orders – pick and packing to meet shipping requirements.
  • Basic packing skills, including use of hand tools (wooden crates and banding).
  • Liaise with couriers / freight forwarders.
  • Keep the warehouse area clear and tidy.
  • Assist with parts sales enquiries via email and telephone during busy periods.
  • Support parts sales team with delivery information and tracking.
  • Maintain a safe and healthy working environment.
  • Daily pre-use checks of equipment.

Skills / preferred experience

  • Team player with good interpersonal skills.
  • Previous warehousing experience.
  • PC literate in SAP, CRM, and Office applications.
  • Forklift operator certified.
  • Physically fit (manual handling tasks).
  • Willingness to learn; ability to work well in a diverse environment.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Customer-focused with a strong “can do” attitude and flexible approach.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and customers.
