FULL DESCRIPTION

The IT and Telecom Network Engineer will be responsible for the installation and commissioning of IT and Telecom network devices, providing technical support, and coordinating with internal and external teams. The role involves working with Cisco switches, microwave transmission nodes, and cell site radio hardware for 4G and 5G technologies. The engineer will also analyze network performance reports and produce mitigation packs.

Responsibilities:

  • Carry out installation and commissioning of IT and Telecom network devices comprise of Cisco switches, Microwave transmission nodes, Cell site radio hardware for 4G and 5G techs.
  • Provide technical support to junior and apprentice engineers to carry out the I&C work as per design and approved drawings.
  • Be the focal point to customer Deployment team’s counterpart and coordinate with internal teams to solve day to day issues to streamline the install and commission work.
  • Wiling to participate in training programs to obtain approved certifications like CCNA/CCNP etc.
  • Have the awareness of the services [Employer hidden — view at passion-project.co.uk] offer to the customer and engaged with Program manager and sales teams to widen the areas of the services we offer.
  • Undertake the review of PCV (Post Change Validation)/PPM (Post Performance Monitoring) generated reports and provide feedback on the various KPI’s on 2G, 4G & 5G networks. This will involve in depth analysis of any variations in performance Pre/Post.
  • Produce mitigation packs for any site that fails PCV/PPM/TTO explaining the reasoning for the failure and what can be done to remedy it or why it should mitigate.
  • Own and be the main POC for any BIS/PCV/PPM/TTO queries within the projects assigned to you.
  • Be able to produce Power point packs to show the customer an E2E story of the site after an upgrade where needed.
  • Ability to convert highly technical concepts into simple to understand language for a range of audiences.
