[Employer hidden — view at passion-project.co.uk] Services is seeking an RCVS registered vet for a full-time, permanent position at their Sheriff Hutton practice. The role involves diagnostics, farm visits, laboratory work, and developing client relationships. Training and CPD are provided, and the position offers a good work-life balance.

The Role:

This is a full-time, permanent position, for an RCVS registered vet, based at our main Sheriff Hutton practice just north of the beautiful city of York.

Working hours are 08.30 – 17.00 Monday to Friday with 1:4 weekends on call after training.

Salary –dependent on experience in other disciplines and qualifications

Duties include:

  • Diagnostics via post-mortems, farm visits and laboratory work
  • Routine visits for veterinary health and welfare plans, schemes such as Lion Code and Red Tractor
  • Surveillance visits for disease outbreaks such as Avian Influenza
  • Occasional export certification
  • Data analysis and epidemiology
  • Developing relationships with clients and applying innovative approaches to optimise health and welfare

Training and Development:

We are a large, friendly and supportive team. Our experienced vets have a range of post-graduate qualifications and areas of expertise, and you will be allocated a mentor who is VetGDP registered.

Could you be our ideal candidate?

Ideally, we’re looking for a vet with post graduate experience as many of your skills are transferable to poultry, and specific poultry medicine training will be given. But we are also open to applications from new and recent grads and can fully support you in your first steps in your professional career.
