We are a patient-centred charity that delivers palliative and end of life care to thousands of people each year with advanced life-limiting illnesses who live in Northwest Surrey, also providing support to their carers and families in patient homes, in care or nursing homes or through its In-Patient Unit in the Hospice; as well as through the Bradbury Wellbeing Centre.
You will, therefore, be joining a passionate and dedicated team of professionals that make a real difference to the families across the North West Surrey community.
“I love that my role means so much to me personally. I really feel like I am giving something back” – Volunteer Colleague
Currently our greatest need is in our shops – which are a key element to raising much needed funds for the hospice.
A retail role is varied and it will include sorting donations, recording gift aid, preparing stock for sale, meeting customers, staffing the till, ensuring the shop floor is clean tidy and neat. Finally lots of tea!
Retail roles generally are 9 am-1 pm or 1 pm-5 pm with slightly shorter hours on a Sunday. We can, at times, have flexibility around the exact hours you volunteer.
We’re looking for friendly, enthusiastic volunteers who can engage with people of all ages and from all walks of life to join our team at Horsell.
If you are interested, please complete the online application or pop in to the Horsell shop and have a chat with the manager to find out more about the role and shifts available.
What are the benefits to you?
