FULL DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a BI Developer who can display core technical capabilities in using the Microsoft suite (Power BI,Power Apps etc full core tech skills listed below), but more importantly have a major influence in the development of data strategy for this new team.

  • Supporting the business to achieve its goals by providing a means to monitor operational performance, by gathering and interpreting requirements and developing effective reporting capabilities
  • Using BI capabilities for classic data extraction, transformation and loading (ETL) capabilities, including its software tools for building analysis models, standard reporting outputs and reporting dashboards
  • Providing support to end users (2nd line business systems support), responding to incidents and requests that are logged in line with pre-defined SLAs
  • Resolving end user issues through a structured approach to root cause analysis and investigation
  • Managing and owning the groups Master Data Strategy and tools
  • Creating & managing the groups data lake & warehouse facilities
  • Assist in system integration and acceptance testing and perform bug fixes less experienced staffs on programming guidelines

Necessary skills required:

  • Familiarity with BI technologies (e.g. Microsoft Power BI, Oracle BI, Cognos, Business Objects, Tableau, QlikSence)
  • In-depth understanding of database management systems, online analytical processing (OLAP) and ETL (Extract, transform, load) framework
  • Knowledge of SQL queries, SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS).
  • Crystal reporting skills
  • Web development skills
