Senior Care Assistant

[Employer hidden — view at passion-project.co.uk] Ltd is recruiting for senior care assistants in Nottingham and the surrounding areas. Responsibilities include guiding junior care assistants, supervising carers, delivering high standards of care, reviewing care plans, assisting with the induction program, acting as a key worker, monitoring customer satisfaction, and assisting with personal care, medication, and administrative duties.

Responsibilities of a Senior Care Assistant:

  • Must guide junior care assistants including new ones and assist in their development
  • Supervise carers as instructed to ensure Best Practice in delivery of care to clients.
  • To deliver the highest possible standards of care, and use resources in a proficient manner.
  • To review Care Plans and Risk Assessments regularly.
  • To assist in implementing the induction programme of all new care staff
  • Co-operate with the Manager in maintaining an "on-call" rota
  • To act as Key Worker for a named group of clients
  • To be involved in monitoring and improving customer satisfaction
  • Monitor Administration of Medication, Environment, Health & Safety, Pressure Sores, Accidents and to participate in Audit as required
  • Assisting with personal care which can include; hygiene, mouth care, skin care, feeding, toileting, positioning the service user to prevent skin damage
  • Identify and report changes in service user condition to manager and care coordinator
  • Communicate and empathise with service users and their families
  • Assist service users with diet and fluids.
  • Assist service users with light cleaning and laundry
  • Undertake and assist with delegated basic administrative and telephone duties as required
  • Attends study days to learn new information and procedures; Attend mandatory and compulsory training
  • Help clients with medication according to care plan.
