[Employer hidden — view at passion-project.co.uk] is seeking an experienced Regulatory Technologist with at least 5 years of experience in the Cosmetic/Personnel Care sector. The role involves advising on regulatory requirements, providing support to various teams, managing testing and registration, reviewing artworks, investigating new markets, conducting cosmetovigilance assessments, and ensuring regulatory best practices are followed.

Experienced Regulatory Technologist within the Cosmetic/Personnel Care sector.

We are looking for an experienced Regulatory Technologist who has a minimum of 5 years’ experience within the Cosmetic/Personnel Care sector. This person will be a team player and be able to work as part of the team and on there own with minimal guidance, [Employer hidden] is a fast paced environment working with many of the UK largest retailers. This role will report into the Regulatory Manager as well as working closely with NPD and other teams within the product cycle.

Key Responsibilities will include:

  • Keep up to date and advise on regulatory requirements for cosmetics (and other categories as relevant) in the UK and existing export markets in particular the USA, Australia and EU.
  • Provide Regulatory support to the Labs in the UK & China and the wider business including Marketing, Operations, Sales, and Quality Assurance.
  • Liaise with consultants and third parties to manage Testing and registration in international territories.
  • Review and approve artworks for the relevant market where the products are being launched.
  • Investigate the requirements in any potential new markets and provide pragmatic and commercial regulatory advice.
  • Conduct cosmetovigilance assessments, help manage related audits, and complaints relating to product conformity.
  • Present compliance strategies related to ‘grey areas’ of regulation.
  • Advise marketing and Brands on claims acceptability and contribute to artwork approval.
  • Approve new ingredients for regulatory compliance.
  • Complete PIF files, CPNP & SCPN Notifications, MoCRA registrations and liaise with our External consultants.
  • Always ensure regulatory best practice are adhered too.
  • Monitor changes in the regulatory environment and highlight any potential impact.
  • Represent Regulatory department on cross-functional product/project teams and provides regulatory advice (as appropriate)

You will have initial experience within the Regulatory Affairs environment in Cosmetics and be able to demonstrate the following:

  • Life sciences or chemistry graduate to honours level or equivalent.
  • Works independently to plan, conduct artwork reviews, and manage regulatory submissions and multiple projects to meet department and company objectives.
  • Work with minimal supervision to determine and develop approaches to solutions with technical guidance on a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity.
  • May mentor Regulatory Executives and provide day to day support.
  • Project management, understanding of regulatory environment, commercial / strategic awareness, implement regulatory strategy, and managing of your accounts
  • Deliver on key Critical Path commitments.
  • Good communication skills to ensure clarity to collaborating departments
