Dishwasher / Kitchen Porter
Key Responsibilities
**Dishwashing:**Operate dishwashing equipment to clean plates, cutlery, pots, pans, and kitchen utensils.
**Kitchen Support:**Assist chefs with basic prep tasks, such as peeling, chopping, and organizing ingredients.
**Cleaning Duties:**Maintain cleanliness of kitchen floors, surfaces, bins, and storage areas throughout the shift.
**Stocking & Waste Management:**Replenish cleaning supplies, dispose of waste properly, and follow recycling protocols.
**Health & Safety:**Adhere to hygiene standards and food safety regulations (HACCP, EHO).
**Teamwork:**Work closely with chefs and front-of-house staff to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
Required Skills & Experience
No formal experience required—training provided.
Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen.
Good physical stamina and time management.
Basic understanding of food hygiene and safety practices.
Desirable Attributes
Previous experience in a restaurant or catering environment.
Familiarity with South Asian cuisine and kitchen culture.
