FULL DESCRIPTION

Key activities:

• Operate within a small team to produce rail segments
• Minimise waste & maximise quality of products
• Report any defects to line management
• Carry out routine inspections of production machinery/parts
• Ensure excellent housekeeping standards in line with site safety requirements
• Ensure all HSQE requirements are complied with
• Take ownership of the role
• Operate mobile plant when necessary
• Assist production teams to achieve daily production targets by remaining proactive & self motivated

Qualifications and skills:

• Applications are invited from candidates with a precast concrete background though this is not essential as training will be provided
• Good interpersonal skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to prioritise own workload and tasks
• Ability work safely and in accordance with the health & safety policy
• A flexible and positive “can do” approach with a team working attitude
• Excellent time keeping, attendance and working flexibility
• Good verbal communication skills
• IOSH awareness desirable
