Job Overview:

The Supply Chain Administrator will assist in the coordination and management of the supply chain process to ensure smooth operations. This role involves managing the flow of materials, inventory control, and working closely with vendors, suppliers, and company stakeholders to maintain an efficient and effective supply chain while supporting the Supply Chain Director.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inventory Management: Monitor and track inventory levels, ensuring that stock levels are optimized and meet demand without overstocking.
  • Order Processing: Assist in processing purchase orders and monitor the status of orders from suppliers to ensure timely delivery.
  • Supplier Coordination: Liaise with suppliers to ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods and services, resolving any issues related to shipping or inventory.
  • Documentation & Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate records of supply chain transactions, purchase orders, delivery schedules, and invoices.
  • Data Entry: Enter and maintain accurate supply chain data in the company operating system or Excel.
  • Reporting: Generate and maintain reports related to inventory levels, order status, supply chain performance, and other key metrics.
  • Communication: Work closely with internal teams (e.g., purchasing, logistics, and sales) to ensure the timely flow of information and resolve any operational issues.
  • Compliance: Ensure all supply chain activities comply with relevant regulations, standards, and company policies.
  • Problem-Solving: Address any supply chain disruptions or delays, including finding solutions for shortages, order errors, and late deliveries.
  • Support: Provide administrative support to the supply chain team and management, assisting with project work and other tasks as needed.
  • Innovation: Identify process improvements and innovation to support overall commercial efficiency and customer development.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience: 1-3 years of experience in supply chain management, logistics, manufacturing or a related administrative role.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); experience with supply chain management software (e.g., ERP systems) is a plus.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong ability to manage data accurately and identify discrepancies.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with internal teams and external suppliers.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to address and resolve supply chain issues quickly and efficiently.
  • Time Management: Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Team Player: Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work well with various teams and stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • A full UK driver`s licence and valid passport.
  • Occasional lifting of light to moderate materials may be required (e.g., packages, files).
  • Travel within the UK and Europe may be required at times.

Work Environment:

  • Office environment with potential exposure to a warehouse or production floor depending on the company’s supply chain setup.
  • Hybrid working – Home based with access to our Oakhanger office in Hampshire.
