FULL DESCRIPTION

Domestic Assistant

An exciting opportunity has arisen within [Employer hidden — view at passion-project.co.uk] for the role of a Domestic Assistant. This is a permanent part-time role with 18 hours per week, offering a salary of £9.00 per hour. The role involves carrying out cleaning duties, adhering to schedules, maintaining high standards of presentation, and ensuring the correct use of cleaning equipment and PPE. The successful candidate will work as part of a team, promoting company values and complying with all mandatory training.

Your duties will involve:

Carry out all cleaning duties as directed by the Home Manager to the requires company standards. Cleaning duties can be in any area of the home.
Ensure that daily and deep cleaning schedules are adhered to
Maintain a high standard of personal presentation
Ensure that all cleaning equipment is correctly and safely used and kept in a safe condition. Report any defects to the Home Manager
To be sensitive to the privacy and individual needs of the residents
To comply with COSHH regulations
To ensure the correct use of PPE
To follow the correct use of colour code systems with the home
Carry out other as hoc duties as requested by the Home Manager
To ensure all necessary documentation is competed daily.
To ensure trolleys are re-stocked at the end of shift and cleaning cupboards are left clean and tidy.
To work as part of team and always remain respectful of others
To actively display and promote the Company’s Values
To remain fully compliant on all mandatory training
To be sensitive to the privacy and individual needs of the residents
To promote Equality and Diversity in the workplace
To following ‘best practice’ for Covid-19 procedures, etc.
To order required cleaning products, ensuring efficiency and productivity, at all time, remaining in budget
To schedule cleaning duties, in such a way, to be efficient, effective and cause minimal disruption to residents and staff members
Ensure that all workstations are regularly cleaned in accordance with your cleaning plan.
Frequently clean touched surfaces, e.g., door handle, banister, communal areas, etc.

Requirements:

Experience of cleaning, preferably in a care home environment
Robust understanding of Health and Safety and infection control and COSHH regulations
