Requirements.

  • Minimum bachelor’s degree, ideally in computer science, mathematics or other STEM discipline.
  • Minimum two years’ software development experience with strong programming ability in Python
  • Experience with SQL and relational databases, e.g. PostgreSQL.
  • Experience working in Linux, on the command line.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate well with others.

Bonus points if you have:

  • Experience with C++ is advantageous but not essential.
  • Knowledge of AWS e.g. EC2, RDS, S3.
  • DevOps knowledge e.g. git, Docker, GitHub Actions.
  • Exposure to front-end development e.g. TypeScript, React.
  • Financial domain knowledge is advantageous but training will be offered.

Responsibilities.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Build and enhance bespoke Python & Data Engineering solutions for our clients
  • Enhance and grow your data engineering knowledge among subject matter experts in our learning and development ecosystem
  • Deliver high quality, best practice software solutions
  • Use a range of architectures, tools and frameworks
  • Have the opportunity to learn and gain certification in new technologies
  • Recommend, implement and knowledge share new ideas and innovations
  • Work as part of a dynamic team
  • Produce clean and efficient solutions based on specifications
  • Liaise directly and in-person with client team in London
