Senior Systems Administrator - Salesforce

The Senior Salesforce Administrator is responsible for the enhancement, maintenance, and support of [Employer hidden — view at passion-project.co.uk] Global’s Salesforce environments across Group central functions. The role works closely with and supports the Salesforce Product Owner and contributes Business Analysis capability across change initiatives in addition to providing administrative support for JIRA (Jira experience is optional).

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a senior subject‑matter expert for Salesforce administration.
  • Configure objects, flows, validation rules, page layouts, record types, and dashboards.
  • Manage roles, profiles, permission sets, and data access.
  • Support integrations between Salesforce and other enterprise platforms.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex Salesforce issues.
  • Support release management, sandbox usage, and change control processes.
  • Maintain documentation and promote Salesforce best practice across the organisation.
  • Work closely with and support the Salesforce Product Owner in understanding requirements, delivering improvements, and contributing to backlog refinement.
  • Work with stakeholders across central functions (Finance, Risk, Audit, Compliance, Operations, etc.) to gather and analyse business needs.
  • Document user stories, acceptance criteria, and process flows for enhancements and change initiatives.
  • Develop and execute test plans and test cases for Salesforce changes.
  • Conduct functional, regression, and integration testing. Ensuring all changes meet the defined quality requirements.
  • Assist with Jira workflows, boards, dashboards, and permissions configuration.
  • Support IT & Change delivery teams using Jira for project and work management.

About you

  • Extensive experience as a Salesforce Administrator, ideally at a senior level.
  • Strong declarative configuration expertise (Flows, reporting, dashboards, page layouts, data management).
  • Business Analysis capability, including requirements gathering, documentation, and process mapping.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills in complex environments.
  • Positive, can‑do attitude with a willingness to learn new tools and evolving processes.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with the Salesforce Product Owner and other stakeholders.
  • Experience with Jira or other Agile delivery tools.
  • Experience working in financial services or regulated environments.
  • Experience with Anaplan beneficial.
  • Salesforce Administration experience within complex or enterprise environments.
  • Salesforce Administrator (ADM‑201) certification preferred, additional certifications advantageous.
  • Experience supporting requirements gathering, producing user stories, and engaging with stakeholders.
  • Testing or UAT support experience beneficial.
  • Openness to learning Jira and contribute to broader tooling support.
  • Exposure to Anaplan or similar planning/forecasting platforms advantageous.
