FULL DESCRIPTION
Divan Upholsterer
As a Divan Upholsterer you will be responsible for achieving daily production targets for covering divan bed frames as well as headboards and bedsteads. Key tasks include upholstering quality finished products, preparing work, assembling components, maintaining equipment, and ensuring quality.
Key tasks and responsibilities:
- Upholstering quality finished products with a focus on Divan frames but also to include bedsteads, headboards and other types of bedroom furniture
- Preparing work to be assembled using bills of a materials parts lists and drawings
- Gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials
- Positioning parts and subassemblies by using templates or reading measurements
- Assembling components by fastening parts and subassemblies using compressed air, battery and manual tools
- Positioning parts and subassemblies by using templates or reading measurements
- Keeping equipment operational by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer’s instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs
- Maintaining a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
- Receiving deliveries and verify delivery notes and book goods in to stock
- Documenting actions by completing production and quality forms
- Ensuring quality level of assembled products meets company standards
