The predicted salary is between 22000 - 25000 £ per year.

We are working with a welcoming mainstream primary school in Newham to recruit a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join their Reception team from February. This role involves supporting a number of pupils with additional needs, including ASD and ADHD, within an Early Years classroom setting. The school has a strong inclusive ethos and a supportive staff team, making this an excellent opportunity for a Learning Support Assistant who is passionate about early intervention and supporting pupils at the start of their educational journey.

Job Responsibilities

  • Support pupils in Reception with their learning, development, and wellbeing.
  • Work with children with ASD and ADHD, using tailored support strategies.
  • Support pupils on a 1:1 and small-group basis as required.
  • Assist the class teacher with daily routines and learning activities.
  • Encourage positive behaviour, communication, and independence.
  • Help create a safe, structured, and engaging learning environment.

Qualifications/Experience

  • Experience working with children in an educational or childcare setting.
  • Experience supporting pupils with additional needs, particularly ASD and ADHD.
  • A patient, nurturing, and proactive approach.
  • Enhanced DBS Certificate with the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
  • Right to work in the UK.
