Service Engineer

Due to the expansion of robotic milking & automated barn equipment throughout our region, [Employer hidden — view at passion-project.co.uk] is looking to hire additional full-time Service Technicians / Engineers to cover the county of Cornwall and West Devon.

Working as part of the Service team and reporting to the Service Manager, your role will be primarily field based, and you will be responsible for the installing, servicing and back up support of Lely Astronaut milking robots and Lely automated barn & feed equipment on dairy & beef farms.

Excellent training and mentoring will be provided by the Service Academy for the successful candidates.

Duties & responsibilities:

  • Install, maintain and service robotic milking, feeding & barn equipment
  • Perform software updates, preventative & corrective maintenance
  • Trouble shoot customer queries with telephone support and backup
  • To provide 24-hour break down support to customers on a rota basis
  • Take ownership and responsibility for specific tasks
  • Work as part of a team with a flexible approach to work
  • Provide accurate report writing on a daily and weekly basis.

Candidate profile:

  • Previous service experience in dairy-related industry is preferred
  • Electrical, mechanical or agricultural experience would be beneficial, but not essential
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license
  • Must have a positive, 'can-do' attitude
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to problem solve is essential
  • Must be residing in the Devon or Cornwall area
