FULL DESCRIPTION
As a Field Service Engineer, you will ensure the efficient maintenance of solar plants, performing both preventative and corrective tasks to keep our operations running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities:
- Adhere to all Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) procedures, actively participating in risk assessments.
- Perform maintenance on electrical components, inverters, modules, CCTV/security systems, monitoring systems, and structures.
- Provide detailed reports according to Lightsource BP standards, which can be prepared remotely.
- Deliver electrical maintenance services across a specified region, with occasional travel to other regions for additional support.
- Assist in compiling insurance and warranty claims.
- Take full ownership of assigned sites.
- Manage relationships with local subcontractors.
Knowledge:
- Electrically trained with qualifications such as BS7671 and Level 3 Electrical NVQ or equivalent (e.g., completed apprenticeship, IET).
- Ability to safely pass LV1 assessment.
- Desirable: Experience as an Electricians Mate, industrial PV installation maintenance, inverter maintenance, and HV switching.
Work Skills:
- Clean, full driving licence.
- Advantageous: Experience working at heights.
- Team player with good time-management and punctuality.
- Ability to work under pressure and prioritize effectively.

- Capable of working remotely without close supervision.

Education and Qualifications:
- Recognized electrical qualifications, such as City and Guilds 2382-18 (18th Edition).
- Any inverters maintenance course and testing/inspection certification 2391 are advantageous.
