We are looking for a versatile and experienced Multi-skilled Construction Operative to join our growing team. You will work on a range of construction and maintenance projects across residential and commercial sites.

We are looking for a versatile and experienced Multi-skilled Construction Operative to join our growing team. You will work on a range of construction and maintenance projects across residential and commercial sites.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out skilled construction tasks including plastering, tiling, carpentry, bricklaying, and painting.
  • Interpret and follow technical plans and drawings.
  • Use power tools and equipment safely and effectively.
  • Travel to multiple sites as required.
  • Ensure all work meets safety and quality standards.
  • Install partition walls, doors, windows, and roofing elements as part of refurbishment or new builds.
  • Assist in the supervision and training of junior site operatives.
  • Carry out defect diagnosis and remedial works on residential properties.
  • Perform minor electrical fixes (e.g., fitting sockets, basic wiring — if trained).
  • Liaise with clients and site managers to interpret job specifications and resolve on-site challenges.
  • Maintain records of work completed, materials used, and site safety logs.
  • Conduct periodic site inspections and report hazards or maintenance needs.
  • Work with construction software or tools for reporting or time tracking (if applicable).

What We’re Looking For:

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in hands-on construction work.
  • Skilled in at least two building trades.
  • Ability to work independently and follow instructions.
  • Valid driving license.

Desirable but Not Essential:

  • City & Guilds/NVQ Level 2 or 3 in a relevant trade
  • CSCS card
  • Health & Safety Level 1 or 2 Certificate.
