Independence Support Ltd (ISL) provides high-quality supported living services in Gildersome, Leeds, dedicated to empowering adults with complex mental health needs. Our Hillcrest service supports 14 individuals in modern, self-contained apartments equipped with the latest assistive technology, creating a safe and supportive space for people to build independence, confidence and long-term stability.

What You’ll Do

As a Support Worker at our Gildersome service, you’ll provide outcome-focused, person-centred support tailored to each individual’s needs. Your role may include:

  • Supporting with medication management
  • Teaching and developing independent living skills
  • Assisting with daily tasks and routines
  • Promoting community involvement, education and activity engagement
  • Providing emotional support and building positive relationships
  • Supporting individuals with managing their tenancies
  • Liaising with healthcare and mental health professionals to ensure holistic, high-quality support

Our aim is to help each person build confidence, stability and independence within a safe, structured environment.

Who We’re Looking For

We are currently recruiting:

  • Full-time Support Workers (37.5 hours)
  • Part-time Support Workers (23.5 hours)
  • Bank Support Workers (zero-hours)

You must be able to work flexibly across day and night shifts on a 7-day rota. Full induction training is provided.
