Full-Time / Part-Time

£12.60 per hour

The Role

As a Housing & Care Support Worker, you will provide specialist, person-centred support to adults within their own homes and the community. You will play a vital role in empowering individuals to live independently, confidently, and with dignity.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting service users with daily living activities such as washing, dressing, meal preparation, medication prompting, and household tasks.
  • Encouraging independence, dignity, respect, love, compassion, and kindness in all aspects of care.
  • Assisting with community access including shopping, social clubs, appointments, days out, and activities.
  • Supporting individuals to develop life skills such as cooking, cleaning, budgeting, and managing routines.
  • Building strong, positive relationships with service users and their families.
  • Promoting independent living and helping individuals achieve their personal goals.
  • Providing clearly communicated guidance and encouragement to empower those you support.
  • Recording accurate written reports and updates to achieve improved outcomes.
  • Working collaboratively as part of a supportive team and sharing ideas.
  • Maintaining a strong understanding of safeguarding and the protection of vulnerable adults.

About You

The ideal candidate will:

  • Be resourceful and demonstrate a consistent “can do” attitude with patience and compassion.
  • Be able to build rapport and positive relationships with a wide variety of people.
  • Have the ability to empower and inspire confidence in others.
  • Have knowledge and understanding of safeguarding vulnerable adults.
  • Be motivated to grow and develop within a supportive environment.

Experience supporting adults with Autism or Learning Disabilities would be advantageous (personal or professional), but not essential — we provide full training and development.

Requirements:

  • Driving License and access to a car (essential)
  • Care experience preferred but not essential
